Before we were Ameritex, we were Cleveland Manufacturing—a small, three-bay shop filled with hardworking individuals who shared a common goal: build
quality parts and take care of each other like family.
Work Ethic and Family Culture
Back in those early days, everything was done by hand. Drawings were handed out, and operators had to figure it out on their own. But despite the challenges, everyone knew their role, took pride in their work, and supported each other like a true team. “They took real good care of you,” one team member remembers. “Family was always an important part of working for Cleveland Manufacturing.”
Our Early Capabilities
The Ameritex Machine & Fabrication history has built everything from wall panel buildings to switchgears and sheet metal enclosures. And even with limited space and tools, the team found a way to get it done. Moving a 50-foot building might’ve taken four or five hours back then—today, with our current equipment and processes, we could move that same building in under an hour.
Evolution Through Technology
As technology evolved, so did we. We invested in automation, fiber laser cutting systems, advanced press brakes, and smarter processes—all while holding onto the values that made us strong to begin with. Richard, one of our most tenured press brake operators, put it best: “Everything evolves. You have to evolve in this business to keep up. Now, it’s so much easier—but we still know how to figure things out when it counts.”
